One year ago today, George Floyd’s life was taken in 9 minutes and 29 seconds. George was a father, brother, son and friend.
We continue to say his name. And we continue to say the names of others killed by police violence: Rayshard Brooks, Jonathan Price, Ma’Khia Bryant, Adam Toledo, Duante Wright and so many more.

We condemn the deadly shootings that took place in Atlanta on Tuesday, March 16th. Hate crimes and violence against the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community have long existed and are acutely on the rise since the pandemic began. This abhorrent act in Atlanta, that took the lives of eight people, including six Asian women, is a call to conscience for our country and a reminder that silence on these matters is complicity.
