ROSE SAIA is a Boston-born Southie girl who has happily called Acton her home for over 20 years, where she raised a gaggle of children—biological, blended and foster—and now revels in time with her husband and black labrador retriever who she adores. She is an entrepreneur and marketing maven who began storytelling last year. She produces Fugitive Stories, a monthly series of “Moth-inspired True Stories Told Live” in Acton and Framingham that presents experienced tellers with first-time tellers alongside tellers from non-profit partners to raise awareness of their good deeds in the community. She is a published writer who has been an Op-Ed contributor to MetroWest newspapers as well as the New York Times. A former high tech CEO, she twice received the Mass High Tech Council’s annual award for Social Responsibility. |
Born and raised in the Navajo Nation, Manuelito Wheeler is currently the Director of the Navajo Nation Museum in Window Rock, AZ. With many years in the museum field, he has developed a sense of how museums can be more effective as places of understanding and wonder. He has led his team of 8 in creating evocative projects which influence and preserve Navajo culture, including partnerships with major motion picture studios to dub popular movies into the Navajo language. Past projects include dubbing Star Wars IV A New Hope and Finding Nemo in Navajo. Currently, he is working with the National Archives in Washington DC to bring the Navajo Treaty of 1868 to the Navajo Nation Museum for the momentous 150th anniversary.
