Then-Captain Linda Torres served as an Army nurse. She later left the Army to attend graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania. Linda, now Dr. Torres, has volunteered on the board of veteran service organizations to include Team Foster, a non-profit that links veterans to service dogs. She currently lives near Philadelphia with her husband and dog.
