Elizabeth Browning

Elizabeth Browning was born in England shortly before the start of WWll. During the war, she was evacuated to Wales by herself for a year. She attended boarding school from the ages of 4-17, and later trained as a nursery nurse and cared for children all over Europe. She married, had two sons and obtained BA and MA degrees in clinical psychology after moving to America in 1962. She practiced as a child and family psychotherapist for 10 years and is now semi-retired. She enjoys theatre, the arts and literature, and spends her time painting watercolors, writing fiction and traveling.

Joe Lentini has been a professional climbing guide since 1976, instructing and guiding rock climbing all spring, summer and fall, ice climbing and mountaineering all winter. His passion for climbing has taken him from the Bandiagara Escarpment of Mali in West Africa to the Karakoram in Pakistan. Rock or ice, it doesn’t matter - any climbing is good climbing. He owns his own guiding business, Ascent Services Worldwide LLC. Joe is a past Vice President (1987-2009) of and is currently a team leader for the New Hampshire Mountain Rescue Service, and is also an EMT.
