Nestor Gomez was born in Guatemala and traveled undocumented to the US in the mid 1980's. He started to tell stories as a way to get over stuttering. He has won The Moth's StorySLAM over 70 times and he is also a 3-time Chicago Grand SLAM Champion. However, if you ask him he will tell you that his biggest accomplishment are his two kids, making his mother proud and winning the heart of his wife "sweet Mel". Nestor has published a collection of ride sharing stories titled YOUR DRIVER HAS ARRIVED and also produces/hosts/curates the storytelling show 80 Minutes Around the World, Immigration stories. He is also a t-shirt designer.
