Lucy was born in Amsterdam and then migrated with her family to Australia after WWII. She grew up in country Victoria, moving to Melbourne in 1959, where she lives to this day. Two of her five children along with five of her eight grandchildren live in North America. Each year Lucy takes the 15 hour flight across the Pacific to visit her family, and the many friends she now has in the USA and Canada.
