MAURA SCHNEIDER is a community organizer, teacher, writer, and mama. Listening to stories and telling her own helped her confront postpartum anxiety and become more honest and forgiving about the beautiful and awful realities of parenthood. In 2010, Maura began organizing a monthly story slam in her hometown. Over 600 stories were told in its seven-year run. Maura is a yoga instructor and freelance writer. She lives in Fredericksburg with her husband, Matt, and children, Arden and Ingrid - who are at a magical age where they think she is amazing at everything - it is the greatest unexpected parenting dividend.
