Amana Mbisi

AMANA MBISE comes from the highlands of Northern Tanzania, East Africa. The name Amana is one out of his nine names with different meanings. He is fluent in three languages and functional in Danish (Yes, Danish of all languages!). He is currently serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the school of social work, University of Alaska Anchorage. His interests are in researching the integration and inclusion of immigrants and the rights of children. Of note, he is one of the first to translate Sesame Street into Swahili for children in Tanzania. He enjoys anything that makes him laugh and is in the process of discovering the excitement of storytelling.
