As a child with a severe stutter, Alan Rabinowitz finds solace in speaking to animals.
Dr. Alan Rabinowitz was one of the world’s leading big cat experts, and was called “The Indiana Jones of Wildlife Conservation” by TIME Magazine. Dr. Rabinowitz was the long-time CEO of Panthera, an international nonprofit organization dedicated to saving the world’s wild cat species. He died in 2018, but will live on in the legion of students he mentored and the wildlife advocates he inspired with his relentless and fearless advocacy for wild cats and their wild places. Following his death, The Moth's Artistic Director, Catherine Burns, penned a special tribute to our friend and beloved Moth Storyteller.
