Chris Fischer is a farmer and chef who grew up spending time on his grandfather’s farm on Martha’s Vineyard. There he learned how to tend the family cows, and raise the vegetables and flowers that were sold at their farm stand. Chris now runs Beetlebung Farm with his cousins, nephews, and nieces.
The son of a farmer leaves Chilmark and travels the world, eventually becoming a successful chef. He returns home to start his own restaurant and serves the Obamas.

The Moth Community Program provides the space, tools and expertise for people to practice the art and craft of personal storytelling. We partner with community organizations, cultural institutions and non-profits to host workshops that inspire confidence and self-reflection and deepen connections within and between communities.
