--  We recently learned that Sirdeaner Walker has passed away. We were awed by Sirdeaner's strength as a mother, an advocate and a storyteller. Her legacy lives on in the anti-bullying legislation she fought for and the numerous lives she touched. --

Sirdeaner Walker is an advocate who has traveled the country to talk about the need for anti-bullying laws and programs in schools. She was a board member and spokesperson for GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, and the Director of Homeless Programs at the Massachusetts Career Development Institute.
