Lincoln Bonner was born and raised in a small rural town in Jamaica, and immigrated to New York in his mid-twenties. Within five months of his arrival, Lincoln enlisted in the United States Air Force Reserve, spending twenty years as an aircraft mechanic and twelve years as a wartime medical emergency instructor. During his service, he traveled to Germany, England, Spain, Panama,Turkey and the Azores Islands. As a civilian, Lincoln worked for NYC Social Services, retiring in 2012 as the administrative assistant to the Associate Commissioner. He is currently a community activist with the Bronx Community Coordinating Committee and a union activist with Communication Workers of America Local 1180. Lincoln is a former member of the NYC based Gedion Reggae Band and the New Jersey based High Maintenance Rock band.
