Add to Calendar 10/28/2025 7:00 PM 10/28/2025 9:30 PM America/New_York The Moth Stories - No Thank You

The Moth StorySLAM is an open-mic storytelling competition in which anyone can share a true, personal, 5-minute story on the night's theme. Sign up for a chance to tell a story or sit back and enjoy the show! Tonight’s theme is… NO THANK YOU.

Prepare a five-minute story about polite refusal. A powerful boundary, the chance you didn’t take, or an insincere, “but maybe next time.” Whether you dodged a disaster or folded right before the jackpot, tell us about delicate dismissals and hard rejections. Saying no to second-helpings, free haircuts or amateur career counseling. Schemes, sketchy cars sold on Craigslist, proposing on the first date—tell us about the no’s that came quickly and the ones that took time. Nope, nein, non, errrrrrrrrm…nah. No really, thank YOU!

Doors Open: 6:30 PM

Show Starts: 7:00 PM

Seating is not guaranteed and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please be sure to arrive at least 10 minutes before the show. Admission is not guaranteed for late arrivals. All sales final. At least 10 tickets may be available at the door for all of our StorySLAMs on a first-come, first-served basis.
