Jennifer Mascia was born in Miami, raised in California and has lived in New York for 19 years. A graduate of Hunter College and Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, she worked at the New York Times for eight years, where she wrote for the Neediest Cases and wrote and edited The Gun Report.
