Shalom Auslander's first novel, Hope: A Tragedy was published by Riverhead Books in 2012. His previous books include the short story collection Beware of God and the internationally best-selling memoir Foreskin's Lament. He's a regular contributor to PRI's This American Life and resides in upstate New York.
