Pamela Covington

Pamela M. Covington is a motivational speaker, inspirational author and anti-poverty advocate, who lives in Atlanta, Georgia. She previously spent over 30 years working in the fields of communications and training. Her self-published memoir, A Day at the Fare: One Woman's Welfare Passage, tells of her plummet from a cozy middle-class lifestyle into one of ugly, deep poverty–and back–and there are at least three more books jostling around in her head. Pamela's spare time is spent wandering outdoors or relaxing at home among her collections of houseplants, books, curios and music. She came to The Moth by way of a community workshop with RESULTS – an organization dedicated to ending poverty.
