Kevin McDonnell
A once-upon-a-time journalist, Kevin McDonnell has been writing stories in one form or another for over two decades. In 2012 he released his debut book, Getting A Nasty Shock, which lifted the lid on gang culture in his hometown of Bradford. Since graduating with an MA in screenwriting from Scotland's Screen Academy in 2017, Kevin went on to be a winner of the UK's Northern Film School Short Script Competition with God Will Judge. His first produced screenplay was shown at the elegant and historic Hyde Park Picture House in Leeds. He's also had short stories broadcast on BBC Radio. Kevin now spends a lot of his time in Valencia, Spain, where he immerses himself in writing scripts and short stories for TV, film, radio and theatre. He recently took up stand-up comedy and made his live debut on December 20th, with a short set at The Cavendish Arms in London. Follow him @KevinMc09950334.
