Ed McCarthy told this story a few months after his mom passed away. Following in his mom's tradition, some of those rescued ornaments are still hung on the family's Christmas tree each year. Currently, Ed lives in Los Angeles where he is a writer and development executive. He has an MFA in Creative Writing from American University. He loves playing tennis and sampling appletinis.
