Dave Dillard

Dave Dillard was born and raised on a small farm near Williams, California in the Sacramento Valley. Joining the U.S. Army in 1966 at the age of 17, he volunteered for and became a U.S. Paratrooper. He served eight years, which included two combat tours in Vietnam with the airborne infantry. After his discharge in 1974 he went to college at Monterey Peninsula College and finished his BA at San Francisco State University at its school of theatre arts as a performing artist. He is a recording artist singer/songwriter and has taught music/ drama in the San Francisco Bay Area elementary schools. His passion will always be the veteran. For over 25 years Dave has been a veterans’ advocate helping those who served in combat process their claims. He is the father of six and now lives with his wife, Susie, on a small ranch near Livingston, Texas, north of Houston. His main project today is establishing the “Home Town Release Foundation,” making sure we don’t forget our men and women serving in combat zones today.
