Live Storytelling Events

In response to concerns about the COVID-19: Our goal is to create a safe environment that fosters empathy and builds a community enriched by storytelling. Moth shows will begin to return to live venues and will abide by local and state COVID-19 regulations, as necessary, and we will require proof of vaccination for all ticket holders where we are able to do so. Moth Events

Virtual StorySLAM

A virtual open-mic storytelling experience that invites up to eight tellers to share a true, personal story on a given theme. The SLAM ends with the audience voting for their favorite story, crowning the StorySLAM winner!

Virtual Mainstage

A curated storytelling show featuring four tellers who develop and shape their stories with our directors. Coming to life in the virtual space and guided by a host, each teller shares their story from their home streamed live into the living room of our viewers.

Virtual SLAM Showcase

The Moth's Play it Again, SLAM Showcase brings together eight beloved StorySLAM favorites to re-share their stories, directed anew by The Moth's artistic team for a virtual audience.

Virtual GrandSLAM

The virtual GrandSLAMs are storytelling competitions that bring together eight SLAM winners from Eastern, Central and Western time zones to compete for the title of GrandSLAM winner in their respective region.

Mainstage

Curated events featuring five tellers who develop and shape their stories with our directors. Beyond theater, The Moth Mainstage is a community where entertainment and enlightenment merge.

StorySLAM

Open-mic storytelling competitions. Open to anyone with a five-minute story to share on the night’s theme. Come tell a story, or just enjoy the show!
