“Here, humor is mined… by exposing one’s inner workings and establishing
a connection with the audience. It is why so many New Yorkers flock
to The Moth. It is why The Moth was such a hit the past three years
at the Aspen Comedy Festival...
And it is why storytelling is catching on across the country.”
- The Washington Post
The Moth's first national ten-city Story Tour, Out on a Limb: Stories from the Edge, has ended. Thousands nationwide heard unique stories from headliners and local characters including Margaret Cho, Dan Savage, Darryl "DMC" McDaniels, a bank robber, President Clinton's former press secretary, a professional baton twirler and a roller derby star.
We were thrilled to have been hosted by such venerable arts organizations as The historic Lincoln Theatre in Washington D.C., The funky Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, UCLA Live/Royce Hall in Los Angeles and The Great American Music Hall in San Francisco.
The Moth's next out of town performance is in Australia at The Perth International Arts Festival on Saturday, February 23. Details coming soon!
