If you would like to tell a story for The Moth and you live in New York or Los Angeles, come to our StorySLAMs and sign up to tell a story on the evening's theme. Check out the upcoming StorySLAM themes and dates. Slammers are often recruited to appear at The Moth Mainstage and StorySLAM winners go on to compete in our GrandSLAMs.

Submit a synopsis of your story

If you would like your story to be considered for our mainstage show, please contact us. Please understand that we receive many submissions and can only consider those that match upcoming themes and add a unique perspective to a particular show. We will, however, be thrilled to have your story in our archive and will consider it when planning our Spring and Fall seasons—or, if you live outside New York, when planning to come to your town. This is the place to synopsize the most exceptional thing that happened to you, not to show off your story crafting-chops in 15 different stories.
